Super Mario 3D All-Stars is out now, and, with that, we’re here to help you collect every Power Star in Super Mario 64‘s Jolly Roger Bay.

You can enter Jolly Roger Bay through the enchanted painting in the room behind the door that requires 3 Power Stars on the right-hand side of the main hall in Princess Peach’s castle.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 1: Plunder in the Sunken Ship

Quite an intimidating Power Star this one as it’ll require you to dive deep underwater with air a constant worry. At the very bottom of the bay you’ll find a sunken ship with an eel guarding the only entrance inside. You’ll want to swim past in order to lure him out and gain access to the ship.

Once inside, you’ll then need to open four treasure chests in order – start with the one furthest away, right, bottom then the central treasure chest last. Every successful chest opened will reward you with a precious air bubble. Once all four have been opened, the water will drain and you’ll be able to climb the platforms to receive your Power Star.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 2: Can the Eel Come Out to Play?

A tough one this. You’ll need to lure the giant eel out of his cave this time. Once done you’ll then see the Power Star clinging to the end of his tail. Touch the Power Star to send it to the very cave you lured the eel from where you’ll then be able to grab it.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 3: Treasure in the Ocean Cave

You’ll need to venture over to a cavern found underwater for this one. You’ll find the entrance to the cavern at the bottom of the bay just to the left as you approach from the starting area of the course (it has a ring of yellow coins just outside the tunnel leading to the cavern). Once inside avoid the falling pillars and open the four treasure chests in order – start with the treasure chest at the back, then left, right and middle – to reveal the Power Star.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 4: Red Coins on the Ship Afloat

You should know the routine by now, there are eight Red Coins that you need to collect in Jolly Roger Bay:

  1. You’ll find three aboard the floating ship.
  2. You’ll see one red coin atop a stalagmite near the pink Bob-omb.
  3. You’ll find four red coins scattered in clams on the bed of the bay.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 5: Blast to the Stone Pillar

You’ll need to unlock the cannon first off so go speak to the pink Bob-omb located a little ahead and to the right from the start of the course. Then head back toward where you started to jump into the cannon. You should see a trio of large stalagmites ahead Mario is able to grab onto. You’ll want to aim for the far left one. As the cannon fires you across, you should see a platform just around the corner from the stalagmite. Jump on to grab your Power Star.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 6: Through the Jet Stream

You’ll need the Metal Cap to nab this Power Star. Head over to the raised platform just beyond where you spoke to the pink Bob-omb on the right side from where you start off. Grab the Metal Cap and long jump into the water to sink to the bottom of the bay. You should see a Power Star with a jet stream shooting upward. Walk over and grab the Power Star before the Metal Cap runs out.

Jolly Roger Bay Star 7: Collect 100 Coins

This is as simple as it sounds. You will need to collect 100 Coins in Jolly Roger Bay, at which point the Power Star will appear wherever you secure the final Coin.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is now available exclusively at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
