PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya has once again reiterated that Bayonetta 3‘s development continues to progress “very well.”

To close the year, Famitsu has once again interviewed Japanese creators on what their future holds and, in response to this, he made sure to reassure fans.

With thanks to Gematsu for the translation, Kamiya commented:

First off, many people are worried about Bayonetta 3 considering there hasn’t been any new information since its announcement, but verifications of new systems have been going great and development is going very well, so please wait with peace of mind. (This is a copy of my 2020 comment.) Also, Project G.G. (title tentative) has finally started moving, so please look forward to it.

This isn’t the first time that PlatinumGames has had to reassure those that have been waiting on more news about the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Bayonetta 3 was first revealed at The Game Awards 2017, and, nearly a year later in September 2018, PlatinumGames explained that the game’s development was “on course” and “that everything is going very, very well.”

Fast forward to February 2019’s Nintendo Direct, and even Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi made sure to assure fans that PlatinumGames remained “hard at work” on Bayonetta 3.
