Masahiro Sakurai has announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has gone gold, news that was shared in the game director’s Weekly Famitsu column.

Everything that we know about the mascot brawler has ramped up this month, thanks to the Super Smash Bros. Direct.

Those details include the new Adventure Mode called World of Light, the new theme song “Lifelight,” Incineroar and Ken joining the playable character roster, Piranha Plant as an early purchase bonus, the 59 Assist Trophies, Smash World mobile app or the five characters that will be released as downloadable content which have now been selected.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 7th.
