After you have beaten the Elite Four in Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!, you will be rewarded with access to the Cerulean Cave where you will have the chance to catch Mewtwo.
As with the other Legendary Pokémon encounters, you must first beat the Genetic Pokémon in battle within the five-minute time limit. It’s worth pointing out that, thanks to the fact that its stats are boosted, you should make sure that you prepare accordingly with any healing items that you may need for this tough opponent.
After Mewtwo has been successfully defeated, you will then be rewarded with the chance to catch the Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon. With that, it will occasionally produce a barrier that will remove any effects from Berries that you have used, as well as to temporarily prevent you from using any more Poké Balls or Berries.
Once you have eventually caught Mewtwo, you can expect it to be Level 70 with the moves Psychic, Recover, Amnesia and Swift.
