Nintendo has shared the debut gameplay trailer and screenshots for Bayonetta 3, shown to close out today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
First revealed at The Game Awards 2017, the PlatinumGames-developed “stylish action-filled sequel” lets you catch a glimpse at “gameplay for the first time, revealing a new look for Bayonetta and new mechanics, including the ability for Bayonetta to directly control demons.”
“What you just saw was the latest trailer for Bayonetta 3,” Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi explained. “We announced this game in 2017, and we thank you for your patience. This game will launch next year. We hope you look forward to Bayonetta’s new encounters.””
Nintendo has promised that “more information about the game will be released at a later date.”
Bayonetta 3 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.
