Just Dance 2020 is coming to Nintendo Switch and Wii, and, with that, Ubisoft has spoken about how happy they are to be “the last soldier standing” on the discontinued console.

“I think we are the last soldier standing! We are the last game on the Wii and we are happy about that as there [are] still a lot of fans wanting to play on it,” Ubisoft EMEA executive director Alain Corre explained to The Telegraph.

“Now we see they are going to the Switch and at the end of the year that Just Dance 2020 will be one of the best games on the Switch because there are more and more families playing on it, as it was in the Wii times.”

It had been believed that one of the reasons that the Just Dance series continues to release on Wii was due to it being used in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, but that reason’s not something that the publisher agrees with.

“It would be inaccurate to say that Just Dance is available on the Wii solely because it’s developed for physical therapy purposes,” an Ubisoft representative stated separately to Polygon.

“Just Dance 2020 is coming to the Wii because our audience wants it. A lot of our players are children and families who continue to play on Wii.”

Just Dance 2020 will release for Nintendo Switch and Wii worldwide on November 5th.
