SEGA has announced that Sonic X Shadow Generations is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Pitched as the “definitive blend of Shadow, Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic gameplay,” this is a complete remaster of the original Sonic Generations that will introduce a brand-new Shadow story campaign with “never-before-seen powers and abilities.”
Black Doom – Shadow’s old nemesis – has returned, threatening to take over the world. You will have the chance to play as Shadow, dive into his dark past to unlock his inner powers, explore his backstory and confront familiar foes to save the world – proving why he is known as the Ultimate Life Form.
With upgraded visuals, new challenges and more bonus content, the original Sonic Generations centres around the blue blur and friends as their universe is thrown into chaos. Faced with a new threat, they are taken on a journey through time and dimensions – combining Sonic’s iconic 2D era with the “blistering excitement” of modern 3D Sonic gameplay.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Autumn 2024.
