Within yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, global president Satoru Iwata shared that the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Sonic Lost World will incorporate some form of interaction for those that pick up both copies.

Players will be able to enlist the aid of Tails within the handheld version, who constructs RC vehicles from materials that can be transferred to the Wii U for use within the console version’s co-operative mode where a second player can help Sonic progress through each stage – by destroying enemies, and collecting items.

Sonic Lost World will launch for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS across Europe on October 18th, and North America on October 22nd.
