Surprise! SEGA have confirmed that further Sonic games will release next year.
Such news is confirmed by Sissel Henno, SEGA Europe’s Head of Brand Licensing, during an interview within the November 2012 edition of Toys ‘N’ Playthings.
According to Henno, SEGA will build Sonic’s licensing over the next year with “several new digital titles” and “a new boxed game.”
“Over the next year there will be a big focus across the toy distribution across Europe,” Henno explains. “Similarly, we will also be growing the apparel, publishing and stationary categories.”
“We will have several new digital titles launching as well as a new boxed game, so there will be plenty of opportunities to link marketing campaigns across games and merchandise.”
