It’s February, which means that Pokémon Day is just around the corner. Happening on February 27th, the date commemorates the day when Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green were first launched in Japan.
Nintendo NY will once again be helping you to celebrate from Wednesday 27th February – Sunday 3rd March, having revealed plans to host activities throughout the week. Those activities include face painting, Pikachu and Eevee making an appearance for photo opportunities, and Trade ‘n’ Play card sessions.
However, the schedule reveals one peculiarity in that Nintendo Treehouse is set to host hour-long Q&A sessions every day. As to what they will be discussing remains unclear, leading to immediate speculation that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International could reveal the Generation 8 Pokémon games in the coming weeks.
With a Nintendo Direct presentation rumored to be broadcast on Thursday 13th February, that means that we may not have to wait long before we see what will await us in this year’s pocket monster adventures.
Come join the fun from Wednesday 2/27 through Sunday 3/3 at #NintendoNYC! In celebration of #PokemonDay, there will be a variety of activities hosted at select times. pic.twitter.com/aHplVa7myM
