Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch Online service will start in September 2018, with the company to share more details about the subscription-based service later in the year.
After Nintendo Italia had listed that it would not be available until Autumn 2018 that change was soon redacted, although we now know that it was indeed correct.
Once the Nintendo Switch Online service goes live it will be required to play online on Nintendo Switch, use the Nintendo Switch Online app, receive a free classic game each month, and promises access to exclusive deals.
We already know how it will be priced when it launches, what it will include, why it was pushed back into 2018, and that it will have “that extra Nintendo twist” to differentiate itself from competitors. But, we’ll have to wait until later in the year to learn precise details.
