Nintendo Switch Has Sold 125.62 Million Units Worldwide

Nintendo has announced that more than 125.62 million Nintendo Switch consoles have now been sold worldwide.

In the fiscal year ended 31 March 2023, 17.97 million consoles were sold which represented a 22.1 percent year-on-year decline. The company explained that “shortages of semiconductors and other components impacted production until around the end of summer, and we did not experience the growth in sales mainly during the holiday season that we saw in the previous fiscal year.”

Nintendo has now sold more than 1,036.15 million Nintendo Switch games, and, if you want to know which are proving to be most popular, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 53.79 million, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 42.21 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 31.09 million copies,  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 29.81 million, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have sold 25.82 million, while Super Mario Odyssey has sold 25.76 million copies.

Meanwhile, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet have sold 22.10 million, Super Mario Party has sold 19.14 million, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold 15.41 million, and Ring Fit Adventure has sold 15.38 million copies.
