Nintendo of America have signalled that they will shortly rename their official Wii U and Nintendo 3DS Facebook pages, Kotaku reports.
A notification distributed by the social media site indicates this coming into effect from September 20th, each then being known as “Nintendo Console Gaming” and “Nintendo handheld gaming” respectively.
The switch to such all-inclusive names is hardly surprising, not only echoing that by competitors Xbox and PlayStation but also promoting discussion about past consoles that the company has made as well as those in future. Of which we’ve already seen the next chapter in Nintendo’s story, through the 2DS.
