Ubisoft and Dotemu have announced that Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Definitive Edition will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
Capybara Games was the original developer behind the role-playing puzzle adventure, which came to the Nintendo DS in 2009. Set 40 years before the Heroes of Might & Magic V saga, the game tells the tale of five heroes scattered across five regions of Ashan. Each hero must travel their own dangerous path to grow in strength, unravel a demonic plot, and ultimately save the world from Demonic forces.
In looking to deliver the Definitive Edition, Dotemu has “not altered the established scope and vision of the game but has instead refreshed the anime-inspired art style with updated character arts and portraits, rebalanced the multiplayer mode and implemented quality-of-life improvements.
It will include the I Am the Boss downloadable content, which lets you play as the four powerful bosses – Azexez, Count Carlyle, Ludmilla and Azh-Rafir – and a newly created exclusive multiplayer boss (Euny the Archdruid) in Quick Battle, Online and Offline Multiplayer modes.
“This is a dream come true for me,” enthuses Dotemu CEO and executive producer Cyrille Imbert. “Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes was one of my favorite games from the era it was originally released in. It’s a game design gem. I spent so many nights on my Xbox 360 with my friends trying to set up the best, undefeatable strategy, playing for just “one more duel” until the sun rose. So to be able to work on an updated version of this modern classic and bring it to entirely new audiences is amazing; we can’t wait to introduce this game to a new generation of fans.”

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Definitive Edition will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2023.
