Mario & Sonic at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics announced

If sport-related mini-games still appeal, Mario & Sonic at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics will soon have you covered.

Announced during today’s Nintendo Direct presentations, Wii U owners can prepare themselves for curling, skiing, snowboarding, figure skating pairs and snowboard slopestyle events, either making use of the Wii Remote Plus, Wii U GamePad, or both.

Events based upon either Nintendo’s Mario series or SEGA’s Sonic franchise also return, with a launch date to be revealed in future.
