Legendary SEGA Consoles Join Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania

SEGA has revealed that you can unlock three legendary SEGA consoles – the Dreamcast, Saturn and Game Gear – as playable characters in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania.

These three console legends are included as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition or will be available together as the SEGA Legends Pack paid downloadable content – priced at $4.99 – at launch.

They join Sanrio’s Hello KittyPersona 5’s MorganaYakuza’s Kiryu KazumaSonicTails and Jet Set Radio’s Beat as “iconic guest characters,” with more to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania presents the chance to bounce, tilt and roll through wondrous worlds with AiAi and friends as you race to stop the monkey mad scientist Dr. Bad-Boon from blowing up Jungle Island, the developer has “lovingly re-created” more than 300 levels from Super Monkey Ball (2001), Super Monkey Ball 2 (2002) and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (2005).

Helping to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary, you can also work together in local co-op for up to four players, compete to be top banana on the online leaderboards and enjoy 12 minigames that include Monkey Racing, Monkey Soccer, Monkey Bowling, Monkey Baseball and more.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 5th October 2021.
