Japanese vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku will make her way westward in 2015, SEGA have today confirmed.

The company will release Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix exclusively for 3DS – an enhanced version of Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI 2, and the first time that the Project MIRAI series will have seen release outside of Japan.

Rendered characters will sing and perform their dance routines against stereoscopic 3D backgrounds, with separate button and touch rhythm modes made all the more challenging across three difficulties per song.

User customisation will allow you to tweak button icons, sounds, costumes and gear, while customised dance routines, musical phrases and comments about your favourite in-game video can be shared on player cards through StreetPass. Whereas the AR Card and photo features of the 3DS are also put to use, although SEGA haven’t provided further detail.

Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix will release exclusively for 3DS across Europe and North America in 2015.
