The Pokémon Bank update that will add support for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon as well as the Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow Virtual Console releases was scheduled to arrive this month, but, with all the noise around Nintendo Switch, we are still yet to learn more.

Step in Nintendo Hong Kong, who have published early details in relation to how players will be able to transfer Generation I Pokémon.

Serebii reports that, once transferred, these will have at least three max IVs, their nature will be randomised, and that the Pokémon may have their Hidden Ability. Each will have a Game Boy mark, to indicate that they have been transferred from a Virtual Console title.

The National Pokédex will synchronise with all games that players have used with Pokémon Bank, listing Pokémon that have been seen or caught in each game. It will list which game you have each Pokémon in, and this won’t require that you deposit them in the application for them to be registered.

Players will also have chance to send Battle Points again, as well as tracking statistics across all games such as Eggs hatched or the number of Pokémon captured.
