Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Tops Twitter And Google During E3 2016

If six-hour long queues weren’t any indication, there is plenty of excitement surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Twitter took a look at the most talked about games as E3 2016 drew to a close, and the Nintendo NX and Wii U exclusive dominated conversation online with 573,000 mentions globally. That more than doubled Battlefield 1 which came in second, with FIFA 17, Resident Evil 7 and God of War rounding out the top five.

Breath of the Wild was also the most searched game on Google, according to ListenFirst. It scored 90,000 search results, outpacing God of War which came in second with 85,000. Battlefield 1, Detroit: Beyond HUman and We Happy Few rounded out the top five, with Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, Resident Evil 7, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Days Gone making their mark beyond that.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release exclusively for Nintendo NX and Wii U in 2017.
