You Can Now Buy Your Nintendo Switch Without The Dock In Japan

Nintendo Switch Second Set

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch Second Set can now be bought on the My Nintendo Store in Japan, presenting the world’s first chance to buy the portable home console without the Nintendo Switch Dock.

Geared towards those that already own a Nintendo Switch and would like to buy a second console for someone else to use, the bundle, which is priced at 24,980 yen (£170) excluding tax, includes a Nintendo Switch console, a left Joy-Con, a right Joy-Con, and two Joy-Con straps.

While there is the added benefit of being able to freely choose your Joy-Con colours, it does not have the Nintendo Switch Dock, Joy-Con Grip, AC adapter or HDMI cable that normally comes with the console. Which means that it’s really not that great a deal when compared to the standard bundle, which is only 5,000 yen (£34) more expensive.
