eastasiasoft, Softstar and DOMO Studio have confirmed a release date for Xuan Yuan Sword 7 on Nintendo Switch.
Pitched as “an action RPG with frenetic real-time combat, visceral 3D presentation and a rich cinematic narrative,” the developer has looked to celebrate ancient China’s landscape, civilization and culture.
Playing as the calm and reliable swordsman Taishi Zhao, you must fight to protect his family and uncover the truth behind a blight threatening all of China.
eastasiasoft has led the porting process to the portable home console “in close cooperation” with Catness Game Studios, with the game having “undergone months of optimisation for the best possible experience.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Journey across ancient China as a cinematic adventure unfolds.
- Slash, block, dodge and riposte in combo-based real-time combat!
- Control the Elysium Scroll to slow down time, absorb monsters or alter the environment.
- Upgrade armor and weapons, develop passive skills and learn new techniques.
- Explore a standalone story requiring no prior knowledge of Xuan Yuan.
- Immerse yourself in the most advanced 3D visuals in series history!
Xuan Yuan Sword 7 will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30 May 2024.
