Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition announced for North America

Nintendo of America has announced plans for a Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition, which will see release at the Wii U exclusive’s launch.

This will be available at a suggested retail price of $89.99, the Special Edition will contain a physical copy of the game, an 100-page artbook that contains select concept art, a USB drive modelled after the in-game ‘Lifehold Unit’ that stores 10 tracks from the soundtrack, and a limited edition matted 5×7 art card of a painting penned by illustrator Takashi Kojo.

These contents differ to the Xenoblade Chronicles X Limited Edition revealed by Nintendo of Europe last month, which will contain a copy of the game, SteelBook cover, world map and cover art posters, and the artbook.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will release exclusively for Wii U in Europe and North America on December 4th.
