Nintendo has revealed that players can expand their adventure in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with an Expansion Pass.

The Expansion Pass will be priced at £26.99 (€29.99 / $29.99) and, once purchased, will see players receive new content between December 2017 and autumn 2018.

That will start with quests and support items, with a Rare Blade to be introduced in spring, a challenge Battle Mode next summer in which players can face powerful enemies, and new side-story content set in the world of Elysium to release next autumn.

Nintendo adds that the downloadable content packs cannot be purchased separately, that more details about each pack will be shared in the future, and that there is a chance that there may be more content released as part of the Expansion Pass beyond what has already been announced.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 1st.
