After revealing that the game would only have English voiceover at E3 2017, Nintendo has announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will now have dual audio thanks to free downloadable content that will become available at launch.

That will add a Japanese voiceover option, presenting players with the chance to play Monolith Soft’s expansive RPG with either English or Japanese voiceover with English text.

Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii had let players choose to play with either English or Japanese voiceover, but that option did not return in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D on New Nintendo 3DS, presumably for storage reasons, or Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 1st.
