Fully Illustrated and Darkwind Media have announced that Wulverblade will see release on Nintendo Switch, a hand-drawn side-scrolling beat ’em-up set in war-torn ancient Britain.

The visceral arcade game will let up to two players battle alongside each other to defend the northern tribes from the invading Roman army.

That will take place across eight real locations as a historically inspired story unfolds before you, with many arenas in which you can fight against enemies to hone your skills as a tribal warrior.

Wulverblade will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in September.
