Nintendo of America has announced that the Wolf Link amiibo will be re-issued as a standalone amiibo.

The amiibo had previously been exclusive to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Limited Edition, and was required to unlock the Cave of Shadows challenge dungeon in the Wii U exclusive.

It can also be scanned in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where it will unlock Wolf Link as a companion character to help take down marauding enemies that you encounter.

The standalone Wolf Link amiibo will be available to purchase on Friday 3rd February.
