Whilst Wii U owners have already been enjoying a karaoke experience through SiNG Party, Nintendo are set to deliver a further opportunity for a private sing-along with friends.

Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND is a free karaoke application arriving in late 2013 that sees the Wii U GamePad serve as a music back catalogue and microphone.

Whereas the application will be freely available, eager vocalists must purchase tickets either for one hour, 24 hours or 30 days worth of access, through the Nintendo eShop.

Players will be able to scroll through the catalogue, building song lists to enjoy across three separate modes. The first mode sees your score shown at the end of the song, whereas the second displays a more detailed performance analysis highlighting areas for you to improve upon. The last mode is more competitive, your score shared within online ranking across Europe to see how you compare.

Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND will be available through the Nintendo eShop on Wii U in late 2013.
