You can now watch the first episode of Pokémon: Path to the Peak, which has premiered on the official Pokémon YouTube channel around the world.
This new four-part animated series tells the story of Ava, who works hard to enter the world of competitive Pokémon Trading Card Game play. Working alongside her family, friends and her partner Pokémon Oddish, she hopes that she has what it takes to rise to the very top.
In this first episode, Ava moves to a new town and soon receives a mysterious invite to her school’s Pokémon Trading Card Game club.
The series’ voice actor talent stars Nyara Afshar as Ava, AJ Beckles as Joshua, Abby Espiritu as Celestine, Mick Lauer as Dad and Nazia Chaudry as Mom.
Taiko Studios is the team who has collaborated with The Pokémon Company International, Creatures Inc and Game Freak on the project, which pitches itself as “an award-winning animation studio that bridges Eastern and Western sensibilities.”
Pokémon: Path to the Peak Episode 2 will release on Wednesday 16 August, Episode 3 on Wednesday 23 August and Episode 4 on Wednesday 30 August 2023.
