Unite 2015 Tokyo’s keynote speech has seen the welcome announcement that the versatile Unity engine will shortly support the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL.

The event, being held in Japan’s capital between Monday 13th – Tuesday 14th April, saw Unity Technologies share how the platform will be made available to Nintendo’s in-house developers, third-party developers and over 4 million registered Unity developers.

Their hope being that it will not only help bring new mobile and social games to Nintendo’s handheld, but also allow existing games to strike at an entirely new audience.
