The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D first shipment to be small within Japan

It has been reported that Nintendo of Japan are to release a small first shipment of anticipated Nintendo 3DS title, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, throughout the country.

According to Japanese retail blog Sinobi, it is recommend that those wishing to get their hands on the game when it launches should pre-order, with Amazon.jp having already discounted the game’s recommended retail price by 18%.

In placing their own speculation, which has since been removed, Sinobi theorise that Nintendo are aiming to avoid a situation previously experienced with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, which, having been distributed in large quantities, soon made its way into the bargain bin in an effort to stimulate sales.
