Devolver Digital and Deconstructeam have announced that their thought-provoking narrative game The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood will release on Nintendo Switch.
It stars Fortuna, a fortune-telling witch living in exile on an asteroid, who makes a pact with an ancient and forbidden creature called Abramar who grants her the ability to create magic-infused tarot cards.
You will be able to make these cards, combining spheres, arcana and energy symbols to conjure unique effects that will help you guide your path through the game’s “richly written and emotional branching storyline.”
The elements that you combine to create your cards will determine their meaning, allowing you to read the fortunes of witches to determine the trajectory of both their lives and the fate of your coven.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Spellbinding Story: Enjoy a complex narrative spanning decades as Fortuna comes to terms with her power and the impact her decisions have on others and the fate of her Coven.
- Arcane Deck Building: Craft unique divination cards from hundreds of possibilities to help you understand and determine the fate of the characters you encounter.
- Magical Music: More than 3 hours of bewitching original music by the celebrated composer fingerspit.
- Enchanting Visuals: Savour the stunning hand-crafted pixel art visuals and a huge cast of deliciously designed witches from all walks of life.
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide “later this year.”
