Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared a new story trailer for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

This trailer has looked to highlight “the vast world of Sylvarant and the compelling narrative in the enhanced version of the beloved action JRPG.”

This has seen the publisher work to remaster “one of the most loved Tales of stories,” which, first released back in 2003, sees the 20-year-old classic return with HD visual enhancements, gameplay improvements and new features.

With the chance to “experience a profound storyline with endearing characters in a rich and lively world,” Lloyd Irving and his friends must set out on an adventure to save Sylvarant and Tethe’alla – two inextricably linked worlds, where the rebirth of one results in the decline of the other.

Whether for the first time or reliving the story, you will be able to play alone or with up to four players during battles – experimenting with battle strategies and systems like combos that freely combine Skills/Magic, Mystic Artes or a Unison Attack, which coordinates a powerful attack from all party members.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

  • An Epic Adventure: Explore a rich and lively world filled with unforgettable characters and experience an emotionally charged storyline like never before.
  • Fully Restored: Features graphically enhanced and improved gameplay.
  • Thrilling Battles: Play with up to 3 friends in local co-op mode to fight powerful opponents in real-time battles. Combine hundreds of special attacks and magic spells.
  • A 3D Masterpiece: Watch stunning anime cutscenes and become absorbed in endearing cel-shaded characters designed by renowned artist Kosuke Fujishima.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 17th February 2023. The Tales of Symphonia Remastered Chosen Edition is also available to pre-order, which, in addition to the game, comes with a SteelBook case, stickers and art prints.
