Criterion Games will only be able to support Need for Speed: Most Wanted with additional downloadable content if the game performs well at retail.
Whilst the Wii U version sees the inclusion of the Ultimate Speed Pack on-disc, there are currently no plans to bring additional Packs to the platform, such as Terminal Velocity, Movie Legends, and Heroes.
“Only one way to solve this. Support the game,” creative director Alex Ward explained. “If the sales are there it makes sense to do the DLC. Simple as that.”
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is currently available for Wii U across North America, and in Europe on March 22nd.
