Super Mario Maker Puts Mercedes-Benz Event Course In The Driving Seat

Nintendo has once again teamed up with Mercedes-Benz, creating a new Event Course and accompanying Mystery Mushroom costume for Super Mario Maker.

The course was created by Mario fans at the German luxury car brand – named as “the game’s exclusive automotive partner” – who had wanted to build a level inspired by the Mercedes-Benz GLA after the vehicle had appeared in Mario Kart 8.

It has been designed to take players through automotive-related areas, such as a dealership, taking a test drive and cruising down the autobahn, with surprises promised in addition.

The free Event Course, called Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive, is now available, and will reward players with a Mercedes-Benz GLA costume upon completion – which sees Mario sat in the pixellated driver’s seat.

“We are delighted to once again be represented in a blockbuster game like Super Mario Maker,” comments Dr. Jens Thiemer, Mercedes-Benz vice president marketing. “Mercedes-Benz and Super Mario have a lot in common. Above all, they share the same vision: to inspire their customers and fans.”
