SteamWorld Dig 2 Tunnels Toward Nintendo Switch Debut

Image & Form Games grabbed a trusty pickaxe to open the Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase, revealing that SteamWorld Dig 2 will release on Nintendo Switch.

Slated for a summer 2017 release, the sequel to the award-winning SteamWorld Dig will deliver a new “platform mining adventure forged in Metroidvania flames,” seeing Dorothy and her unlikely companion dig deep, gain riches and explore an underworld riddled with danger as she searches for her lost friend.

The developer has worked hard to incorporate the Joy-Con and HD Rumble, and those attending PAX East can play a special demo version on the show floor at their SteamWorld Dig 2 themed booth.

SteamWorld Dig 2 will debut on Nintendo Switch in summer 2017.
