The Twilight of the Republic Play Set will await those that purchase Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition at launch, but those looking to relive epic moments from the original Star Wars trilogy will have to wait a little longer.
Developed by Studio Gobo, the Rise Against the Empire Play Set will allow us to relive moments inspired by Episodes IV – VI, taking us to Tatooine, Hoth, Endor and even on a bombing run along the Death Star’s surface. You’ll take down AT-AT walkers, whizz along on a speeder bike, engage in epic space battles and eventually defeat Darth Vader to overthrow the Galactic Empire.
But, now for the bad news. Disney Infinity’s vice president of production John Vignocchi took to the stage at PlayStation’s E3 2015 Press Conference to announce that a PlayStation exclusive Star Wars Saga Starter Pack will see the Play Set become available a month earlier than other platforms. Whereas a Boba Fett figure will similarly release first on PlayStation, and be exclusive “through holidays.”
The Rise Against the Empire Play Set will include Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa figures, with Han Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader also compatible but sold separately.
