During an investors conference held this week Satoru Iwata, President and CEO of Nintendo, confirmed that Star Fox 64 3D is a “newly-arranged version” of the Nintendo 64 classic, further incorporating the gyro sensor capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS.
Star Fox 64 3D “is a newly-arranged version of Star Fox 64, the most well-known game of all the 3D shooting games in the time of Nintendo 64, and in which we offer a new feature that uses a gyro sensor to control Arwing, who flies around the 3D space,” Iwata explained.
Nintendo have already dated the game for a July 14th release in Japan, with no word yet as to a European or North American launch.
