Teams of celebrities will descend on an ink-filled obstacle course in Santa Monica, California next month, with Nintendo of America’s Splatoon Mess Fest celebrating the impending launch of the colourful Wii U exclusive.

Taking place on May 15th, the teams will navigate the splattered course and compete in events inspired by Nintendo’s third-person shooter. Those currently scheduled to make an appearance Disney’s Liv and Maddie star Joey Bragg, with plans still under wraps as to how fans can win the chance to participate.

Anyone in attendance can try Splatoon‘s Turf War multiplayer mode ahead of launch, and can receive a special Splatoon t-shirt while supplies last. Those that can’t visit can apparently keep track of the action on Nintendo’s social media channels.

Splatoon will release exclusively for Wii U worldwide on May 29th, with the Splatoon Mess Fest taking place on the Santa Monica Pier between 11am – 7pm.
