Nintendo has teased what will await you in the “next wave” of the Salmon Run co-op mode in Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch.
Promising “fresh new features,” the trailer reveals new Boss Salmonid such as Fish Stick, Flipper-Flopper and a mysterious Giant Salmonid, as well as the new ability to throw secured Eggs to a teammate.
Splatoon 3 will take the ink-based multiplayer action to the Splatlands. This sun-scorched desert is inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings, and has Splatsville, the city of chaos, acting as “the adrenaline-fueled heart of this dusty wasteland.”
Turf War continues to reign supreme and you can expect battles to take place in new stages that are located in Splatsville’s surrounding wilds. You can look forward to using dynamic new moves to help dodge attacks and cover more ground, as well as wielding new weapons – such as a new bow-shaped weapon – to sling ink.
Splatoon 3 will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2022.
