Blue Volcano has announced that its relaxing puzzler Side Decide will release on Nintendo Switch this week.
Envisioned as “a game for everyone,” you will be challenged to roll a wooden cube to the end of each level. That sounds simple enough, but each of the cube’s sides has a different shape on it and you can only roll onto a block that has the matching shape and alignment.
You can rotate your cube after rolling onto a circle, which often opens up branching pathways to help you reach your goal. Whereas there are other obstacles to overcome that are thrown into the mix, such as teleporting, wildcard and falling blocks.
The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Simple and pleasing aesthetics based on wooden blocks
- Peaceful music that adapts to the player’s progress
- 10 different block types each with its own unique mechanics
- Gold, Silver, and Bronze star ratings for each level give seasoned player’s something to strive for
- 121 levels to unblock, 363 stars to collect. Can you get them all?
Side Decide will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 3 August 2023
