It will be a Halloween to remember this year, with The Pokémon Company having announced that they will run a Shiny Gengar distribution event with GameStop.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players can pick up a special code card from participating stores, allowing them to download the mischievous Shadow Pokémon to their party. It will come clutching a Gengarite Mega Stone meaning that you won’t have to hunt for one, letting it Mega Evolve during battle into Shiny Mega Gengar.
This event will run between 13th – 26th October 2014, with confirmation still to come as to which stores will be participating and the moves that Shiny Gengar will have.
Hope GameStop doesn’t try to “Require” a pre-order with this distribution event(even though it said no purchase necessary on Their Own posters), like they did with the Pinsir/Heracross event they had recently.
Had to go to 3 stores before I got one who gave them out like they were supposed to…
