ATLUS has announced that Shin Megami Tensei V will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

The game’s development had been announced at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 event back in January, as a project to celebrate the Shin Megami Tensei’s 25th anniversary.

The new teaser trailer reveals the game’s modern Japan setting, in which we see a high school student walking near a train station. In the tunnels around Tokyo lie the corpses of devils that died in the city, and the trailer closes when high school students are surrounded, and presumably killed, by devils that still threaten the city’s inhabitants.

After the announcement was made, it was confirmed that Weekly Famitsu magazine will have a developer interview for the game.
