Shantae: Half-Genie Hero enchants in E3 2015 trailer

We can take in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s lush, hand-drawn animation once again, with WayForward sharing a trailer for the 2D adventure-style platformer to coincide with E3 2015.

The first cross-platform HD outing for the hair-whipping belly dancing half-genie, the developer has also treated their Kickstarter campaign’s Early Access reward tier backers with an ‘E3 Demo Backer Build’ that presents them with three spoiler-free levels for them to play through.

Providing a taste of what’s in store, long-term fans can look forward to playing as multiple characters from the Shantae universe such as brain-crazed zombie Rottytops, bird trainer Sky, bumbling warrior Bolo, and nefarious pirate Risky Boots.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will launch on Wii U with the release date yet to be officially scheduled.

  1. 2014? Wow I must have missed the release date!

    • Whoops! Their Kickstarter campaign stated October 2014, so mindlessly went by that – corrected!
