WayForward has revealed that Shantae 5 will be called Shantae and the Seven Sirens, which promises to be the half-genie hero’s “biggest adventure yet.”
The action-adventure-platformer will send the hair-whipping hero to a tropical island where, along with her friends, she soon learns that there’s trouble in paradise.
Shantae becomes caught up in the island’s sinister secrets, and must use new dance abilities and instant-transformation Fusion Magic – such as a newt and other aquatic forms – to explore the non-linear, interconnected world.
That will see her explore multiple towns, brave treacherous labyrinths, and topple dastardly bosses, with a new collectible card system granting you the freedom to enhance Shantae’s powers however you wish.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
