After brawling on Wii U, it would appear that Pokkén Tournament may soon see release on Nintendo Switch.

Serebii that Sinobi had posted a product listing for a new Nintendo Switch arcade stick that specifically mentioned that it could be used with fighting games such as Pokkén Tournament.

When word soon spread the Japanese retailer swiftly removed the mention, although it remains unclear whether it was a mistake or that they had unintentionally leaked news about the port before an official announcement.

There are characters in Pokkén Tournament Arcade that were not added to the Wii U version, such as Empoleon, Darkrai, Scizor and Croagunk. Therefore, it would make sense that these could be added in a successive port.

We enjoyed our time with Pokkén Tournament on Wii U, concluding in our review: “Whether or not it will be a fighting game that will dominate the competitive scene for the next few years is impossible to say. But, whether you are a genre enthusiast, a Pokémon fan or just a gamer in general, Pokkén Tournament is an incredibly fun game with solid mechanics that can certainly hold their own.”
