The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have revealed that players will carry around a Rotom Phone on their adventure in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Home to Rotom, this will be used to register information about the Pokémon that Trainers find or catch in the Pokédex.

Rotom can enter different electrical appliances, and, in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, can do a lot more than simply keep your Pokédex charged.

That can see it attach to a bike to make it move faster on land, or even travel over water once the bike has been modified.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 15th.
