RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D announced for Nintendo 3DS

RollerCoaster Tycoon

Atari have today confirmed that they are to release the next instalment in the popular RollerCoaster Tycoon series for Nintendo 3DS.

Currently in development at n-Space and due to release next year, it marks the first time that an entry within the series has been available for a handheld system.

Remarkably, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is also a completely brand new title, meaning doubts of a poor port can be immediately extinguished.

It will, however, contain features seen within previous games, including the “Coaster Creator” toolset, “Park Sandbox mode,” and an option that will see players able to share their parks with others.

Jim Wilson, CEO of Atari, comments “RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D marks the return of one of the most popular game franchises and delivers an innovative, robust and unrestricted theme park simulator to the next generation of Tycoon fan.”
