Rebellion has announced that Rogue Trooper Redux will release on Nintendo Switch next week, deploying on the blasted wastes of Nu-Earth.
To coincide with the release date news, the developer has released a new 101 trailer that showcases the third-person shooter – covering the game’s universe, campaign, modes, and the biochip abilities that allow Rogue to fight as a one-man army.
That lets players look forward to a BAFTA-nominated story that remains faithful to the 2000 AD comic and universe of the same name, a single-player campaign that blends stealth, action, cover-based shooting and epic set pieces, and the chance to confuse the enemy with distractions and holodecoys.
Adaptable firepower is promised in Rogue’s sentient rifle Gunnar that can transform into a sentry gun, sniper rifle, mortar, or a missile launcher, with the opportunity to unlock upgrades. And, there are also two co-operative modes that will allow 2-4 players to join forces online.
Rogue Trooper Redux will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on October 17th, priced at £17.99 ($24.99)
