NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have revealed that Mad Rat Dead is in development for Nintendo Switch.

This “heart-pounding” rhythm-platformer comes from Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows director Yu Mizokami.

When Mad Rat’s dream was left unfulfilled before his death, he is granted a second chance at life to see it come true.

With the chance to redo his last day on Earth, you must keep his heart pumping in time with the music to make sure that he can stay alive – clearing each stage within the time limit.

You can expect funky visuals and an addictive soundtrack, with the developer promising to “provide a unique experience unlike any other.”

There is also a Mad Rat Dead Heart-Pounding Edition ($59.99) that is now available to pre-order on the NIS America Online Store. This includes a physical copy of the game, Dead Beats cassette, Dead Beats digital soundtrack download and a Mad Masterpieces digital artbook, all housed in a collector’s box.

Mad Rat Dead will release on Nintendo Switch in Europe and North America on 30th October and across Oceania on 6th November 2020.
