Square Enix has announced that Romancing SaGa 2 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch this week.
The classic RPG, which originally only saw release in Japan on the Super Famicom, sees players sit upon the throne of the Varennes Empire where they will control several generations of rulers as they lead a valiant battle against the Seven Heroes.
Romancing SaGa 2 uses a dynamic freeform scenario system that will let players control multiple protagonists as they work to reshape the empire, meaning every player will have a different experience.
There are enhanced features compared to the original release, including new character classes, four new dungeons that explore the mysteries around the Seven Heroes, and a New Game+ function, that will let players carry over character attributes and items into a brand new game.
Romancing SaGa 2 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on December 15th, with a 20 percent discount available until 8th January 2018.
